This time we begin a two-part special in which we look at the favourite toy of many children, all over the globe, a delightful companion that provides many years of companionship in those early innocent years of life. A popular railway museum, which opened in 1975, is said to be the haunt of a number of ghosts. Paul, a violent entity who lurks in the ladies toilets, George who remains within the Travelling Post Office, and still takes huge pride in his work, many years following his passing, a tall man in a top hat, a mischievous spirit who likes to mess up the gift shop after dark, the archives has been the scene of terrifying possessions, and a haunted train carriage which was once used as a mobile brother by the Nazis during the second world war.

The Nightmare Before Christmas 2023

The second annual Nightmare Before Christmas special is upon us, and in this special episode I will read real ghost stories from listeners. Christmas is intrinsically linked with the telling of ghost stories, so it seems like the perfect time to tell these stories of timeslips, premonitions, gifts from beyond the grave, and frightening encounters with the dead.
There’ll also be polterguests dropping by, in the form of authors, podcasters, bloggers and YouTubers, and they’ll tell you of their own scary experiences in their own words.
Two of these stories are accompanied by audio recordings which are most definitely not for those of a nervous disposition, as they appear to capture the voices of the dead. You have been warned.
